Classic Cartoons — How they were creating it.

Being a designer by profession, I am a huge fan of classic art and culture. Today computer make things very easy in the era of great softwares and technology. And cartoon and animation films become quite easy to produce (easy for experts not for me of course). But I have been always wondering how they were getting the things done in 1930s when there was no computers for public use.
